The Gift as a Manifestation of Being

In this context, the gift becomes a way to affirm one’s existence and to build authentic relationships. According to Jean-Paul Sartre, "existence precedes essence," suggesting that we are defined by our actions. Giving is an act that allows us to define who we are and how we relate to others, influencing our essence through acts of generosity.
